Wholesale Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 15, 2026 • Version 1.0
These Wholesale Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the purchase of handcrafted items, custom carvings, and export consignments from DevinArt Craft ("DevinArt," "we," "our," or "us") through devinart-craft.com (the "Site") and associated quotation services.
By creating a buyer account, submitting a Request for Quotation (RFQ), confirming a Pro-Forma Invoice, or remitting payment for goods, your business agrees to these Terms in full.
1. Commercial Scope and Eligibility#
DevinArt operates strictly as a business-to-business (B2B) craft producer and exporter based in Bali, Indonesia. Our catalog, volume pricing structures, and custom artisan carving services are intended for commercial enterprises, including retail boutiques, art galleries, interior designers, and wholesale distributors.
By accessing the platform or placing orders, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and hold legal authority to bind the commercial entity named in your account or quotation request.
2. Handcrafted Variations and Natural Materials#
Every item produced by DevinArt is individually carved and finished by hand by Balinese craftspeople. We work with natural, ethically sourced materials including salvaged cow bone, water buffalo horn, reclaimed suar wood, and feathers.
Because these materials are natural and worked by hand, slight variations occur across finished items:
- Dimensions: Finished items may deviate from catalogue reference measurements by approximately plus or minus five percent.
- Color and Texture: Natural bone density, horn grain, wood streaks, and feather coloration vary between individual animals and wood cuts.
- Tool Marks: Subtle marks from chisels, files, and polishing wheels are natural characteristics of authentic manual craftsmanship rather than flaws.
These characteristics reflect genuine manual craftsmanship and are not grounds for defect claims or order rejection.
3. Quotations, Pricing, and Minimum Quantities#
Prices listed on the Site or generated via quotation requests are denominated in United States Dollars (USD) or Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Unless noted otherwise, listed prices exclude international freight forwarding, cargo insurance, customs duties, and local destination import taxes.
Formal Pro-Forma Invoices issued by DevinArt remain valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue. Wholesale pricing tiers require adherence to specified Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) or minimum invoice totals as detailed in the active quotation.
4. Production Lead Times and Custom Commissions#
Because we maintain high standards of manual carving rather than automated factory lines, standard catalog orders require a production period of 14 to 21 business days. Bespoke designs, custom skulls, or complex feather headdress assemblies typically require 21 to 35 business days depending on order volume and current studio capacity.
Custom commissions require a fifty percent deposit before carving starts. The remaining balance, plus agreed freight costs, must be paid before items leave our Bali workshop.
5. Export Shipping, Incoterms, and Customs Duties#
Unless explicitly agreed in writing on the Pro-Forma Invoice, all commercial export consignments are handled under FOB Port of Denpasar / Ngurah Rai Airport or CIF Destination Port in accordance with Incoterms 2020.
DevinArt prepares Indonesian export clearance documentation and cargo airway bills. The buyer is responsible for:
- Destination customs clearance, import declarations, and clearance agent fees.
- Applicable tariffs, value-added taxes (VAT), goods and services taxes (GST), and provincial import charges.
- Verifying that materials (such as domestic bovine bone or wood) meet local import regulations in the destination country.
Risk of loss or transit damage transfers to the buyer once the consignment is accepted by the international freight carrier. We recommend that buyers maintain cargo transit insurance on all international shipments.
6. Consignment Inspection and Damage Claims#
All fragile bone, horn, and wood items are packed in reinforced timber crates or double-wall corrugated cartons with internal cushioning. The buyer must inspect packages promptly upon delivery.
If items arrive broken or damaged in transit, the buyer must notify DevinArt within 48 hours of carrier delivery by emailing claims@devinart-craft.com. The report must include clear digital photographs and video showing:
- The external crate or carton showing shipping labels and carrier barcodes.
- Internal packaging and cushioning materials as opened.
- Detailed close-up views of the damaged craft item and affected carving areas.
Upon verification of transit damage, DevinArt will arrange for replacement carvings on the subsequent production cycle or issue a credit against future wholesale orders.
7. Intellectual Property and Artisan Designs#
All photographs, three-dimensional digital renderings, carving motifs, text, and catalog assets on the Site are the exclusive intellectual property of DevinArt Craft and its contributing artisans.
Purchasing wholesale carvings transfers ownership of the physical items for retail resale. It does not transfer design copyrights or authorize mold casting, resin reproduction, 3D scanning, or industrial mass replication of DevinArt original carvings.
8. Buyer Accounts and Account Deletion#
Buyers can access quotation histories and order tracking through registered accounts. You may close your account and delete all associated data at any time through your account settings or by visiting our User Data Deletion page.
Deleting your account removes all stored profile credentials, OAuth links, and private inquiry records. Account deletion does not prevent you from registering again in the future using the same email address.
9. Limitation of Liability#
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable commercial law, DevinArt Craft shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost commercial profits, or business interruptions resulting from carrier shipping delays, import customs holds, or natural craft variations.
DevinArt's total aggregate liability arising from any order or transaction shall not exceed the total amount paid by the buyer for the specific goods giving rise to the claim.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution#
These Terms and all wholesale sales agreements are governed by and construed under the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
In the event of any controversy or dispute, the parties agree to seek amicable resolution through good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days. If negotiations do not resolve the matter, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Denpasar (Pengadilan Negeri Denpasar), Bali, Indonesia.
